Turkish second-tier side Bucaspor have been handed a two-year transfer ban by FIFA over monies owed Ghanaian midfielder Torric Jebrin.
Jebrin dragged the club to FIFA after terminating his contract in 2014 over a US$ 2 million debt.
Jebrin signed a two and half year deal with Turkish side Bucaspor in January 2011. He played for the club 26 times, scoring three goals. A controversial move to Trabzonspor followed before he returned to the club in 2014 for a second spell.
However, the then 24-year-old decided to leave Bucaspor again because he claimed he could not trust the Board of Directors of the Izmir-based outfit, stating that he had been deprived of most of his financial benefits by the team. He subsequently reported the club to FIFA.
By the ruling, Bucaspor will not be allowed to sign any player under the period and also unable to register newly acquired players. Jebrin managed to get his career back on track by signing for Egyptian Premier League side Ismaily SC.
