2018 World Cup qualifiers: Egypt name 23 for Ghana clash

Egypt coach Hector Cuper has announced a 23-man squad for the crucial 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier at home to Ghana on November 13.

The Group E fixture of the African qualifiers to the Russia World Cup competition is set for the Borg El-Arab stadium in Alexandria.

Cuper has added 14 local-based players to his already announced ten foreign-based professionals he initially put out a few weeks ago.

Al Ahli midfielder Momen Zakriya steps into the place of the injured Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim while Ahmed Hegazy remains in the squad with Zamalek goalkeeper Ahmed Shenawi.

Arsenal star Mohammed El Nenny and Roma’s Mohammed Salah also made the squad to face coach Avram Grant’s men.

Midfielders: Moemen Zakareya, Abdallah El-Said (Ahly), Ibrahim Salah, Tarek Hamed, Mostafa Fathi (Zamalek), Mahmoud Hassan “Trezeguet” (Excelsior Mouscron, Belgium), Mohamed Elneny (Arsenal, England), Mohamed Salah (Roma, Italy), Ramadan Sobhi (Stoke City, England), Amr Warda (Panetolikos, Greece)
