I’m open to represent Ghana at the Olympics – Freezy MacBones
UK-based Ghanaian boxer Seth Gyimah, affectionately known as Freezy MacBones, has disclosed he is open to representing Ghana at the Olympics or Commonwealth Games.
Freezy MacBones who turned pro at age 27, has just two bouts under his career but won the hearts of many with his passionate post-bout interview after his victory over the weekend.
Gyimah recounted his struggles in Ghana before immigrating to the UK in 2012 to seek for greener pastures.
Following his stunning performance in the victory over Darryl Sharp at the Copper Box Arena in London, where MacBones completely dominated his opponent, there have been calls for the boxer to fight under the flag of Ghana.
Addressing those calls, MacBones said he was more than ready to fight for Ghana if he gets the call.
“At the moment I am in the UK and that’s where I work. However, if I receive a call to represent Ghana at next year’s Olympics, I will not hesitate to heed the call. I will be more than ready to represent Ghana at the Olympics,” MacBones told Asempa FM.
