U-17 Women’s WCQ: Gambia advance to face Ghana in December

Ghana’s Black Maidens will kick off their campaign in the qualifiers to the Uruguay 2018 Fifa U-17 World Cup with a first round clash against The Gambia.

The Gambia qualified at the expense of Sierra Leone who failed to make an appearance for the second leg after losing the first 3-0 at home.

The Scorpion Girls will host the first leg in Banjul on the weekend of December 1-3, 2017 with the reverse clash in Ghana also on the weekend of December 15-17.

Ghana are one of six countries who got preliminary round byes alongside Tunisia, South Africa, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and Cameroon.

Africa will be represented by three countries at the 2018 FIFA U-17 women World Cup finals scheduled to kick off in Uruguay on November 20.
