U-20 Women’s World Cup: Ghana to battle Kenya in November

Ghana will face Kenya in the second round of the 2018 Fifa Under-20 Women’s World Cup qualification matches for Africa.

Both countries accounted for Algeria and Ethiopia respectively in the first round.

The Black Princesses secured the biggest in the qualifiers so far — 10-0 over two legs to seal a date with Kenya who also edged Ethiopia 4-3 on aggregate. 

The two countries will now play each other in home and away games in the penultimate round set for November.

Ghana will host the first leg on the first weekend in November with the return keg set for the Kenyatta Stadium two weeks later.

Second Round Fixtures:
– Burundi v South Africa
– Morocco v Nigeria
– Sierra Leone v Cameroon
– Ghana v Kenya

Second Round Dates:
First Leg: 3, 4 or 5 November 2017
Return Leg: 17, 18 or 19 November 2017

The FOUR winners advance to the THIRD and FINAL ROUND of the qualifiers for France 2018.

Third Round Dates:

First Leg: 12, 13 or 14 January 2018
Return Leg: 29, 27 or 28 January 2018

The TWO winners QUALIFY for the 2018 Fifa U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in France from 7–26 August 2018.
