2018 WCQ: Zambia camp in Accra for Nigeria battle

Zambia have pitched camp in Ghana to prepare for their crucial 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Nigeria on Saturday October 7.

The first batch of the Zambia team arrived in Accra on Sunday and set up base at the Best Western Premier Hotel. More members of the team have since joined the camp.

The Chipolopolo boys had their first training session at the Marcel Desailly Sports Complex in Accra.

Orlando Pirates’ Justin Shonga and Ajax Cape Town’s Roderick Kabwe have already teamed up with the team in Ghana with more foreign based players expected later in the day. 

According to the team itinerary, they will leave for Nigeria on Thursday for the Group B encounter in Uyo.

Nigeria leads Group B on 10 points while Zambia lies second on seven points with Cameroon being third placed on three points. Algeria is at the bottom with one point.
