2018 WCQ: Zambia begin preps for Nigeria showdown

Zambia, on Monday, had their first training session ahead of the October 7 Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Nigeria.

Chipolopolo coach Wedson Nyirenda had 21 players in camp with the exception of Zesco United players who will be in action in the Barclays Cup quarterfinal against Kitwe United.

Foreign based players will be expected to join camp on Sunday ahead of the must win encounter that will be held in Uyo.

Nigeria lead Group B with 10 points while Zambia trails them on seven points with Cameroun lying third on three points while Algeria are stuck on one point.
