Black Stars coach Avram Grant has handed a starting role to AFCON new boy Thomas Partey in the Black Stars opening game vs Uganda at the Africa Cup of Nations Group D, footy-ghana.com has learned. Partey, who is making his debut appearance at the AFCON will partner Mubarak Wakaso in midfield.
Captain Asamoah Gyan also starts alongside Jordan Ayew while Daniel Amartey starts in defense in place of Jonathan Mensah who has been dropped to the bench. Game kicks off at 4pm Ghana time.
