Kotoko: Nafiu, Abass and Yakubu have medicals

Three players, comprising two strikers and a centre back, will this morning undergo medical exams at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Kumasi pending their signing.

The three are strikers, Abass Mohammed from Medeama and Yakubu Mohammed from Ashgold; Awudu Nafiu, a defender also from Ashgold. Accra Representative and Premier League Board (PLB) member, Thomas Boakye Agyeman disclosed this to Asantekotokosc.com.

The medicals are a prelude to the official signing of players into the club. That of Abbas, Yakubu and Nafiu will bring to four the number of players who would have gone through the medical tests, which give medics of the club baseline information on the health status of the players before they are recruited.

Last Friday, Baba Mahama had his medicals and his signing would soon be announced.

Management and the technical team’s bid to strengthen the Porcupines ahead of the 2016/17 season has been progressive with the recruitment of Isaac Quansah, Prince Acquah from Heart of Lions and Kwame Boahene from Medeama.
