Black Starlets return to camp January 5

Ghana’s male U-17 team the Black Starlets will return to camp after the new to begin preparations ahead of the CAF U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Madagascar in April, head coach Paa Kwasi Fabin has confirmed.

Paa Kwasi Fabin’s side broke camp to allow the players, most of whom High School students, attend school. But with the U-17 Cup of Nations fast approaching, the technical handlers want the squad back together preparing for the competition which kicks off April 2.

Ghana will be making a return to the juvenile competition after missing the previous two editions; the last one through disqualification. The team has a target of a semi-final place which will secure the team qualification for the U-17 world cup in India.

Ghana have been drawn in group A with African powerhouse Cameroon set to provide the stiffest opposition in the group that also houses host Madagascar and Guinea.
