Morocco name 23-man squad for World Cup

Herve Renard has made known Morocco’s 23-man squad for the 2018 Fifa World Cup.

The squad includes Medhi Benatia, Hakim Ziyech and Younes Belhanda as the key names.

The French born coach opted for a 23-man squad, with Oualid El Hajjam, Nouassir Mazraoui and Youssef En Nesyri named as three stand-by players.

Morocco qualified for their first World Cup since 1998 after topping a group containing Ivory Coast, Mali and Gabon.

They kick-off their campaign against Iran in Saint Petersburg on June 15, before facing Portugal in Moscow five days later.

The Atlas Lions conclude their first-round campaign against Spain in Kalingrad on June 25.
