Caf names World Cup-bound refs for Aduana vs Fosa Juniors 1st leg

The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has appointed three Fifa World Cup-bound referees to officiate the 2018 Confederation Cup playoffs first leg between Ghana’s Aduana Stars and Fosa Juniors from Madagascar.

The Ghanaian champions host the first leg at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa on Sunday April 8.

Gambian Bakary Papa GASSAMA will lead the match officials as centre referee.

He will be Burundi’s Jean Claude BIRUMUSHAHU and Marwa RANGE from Kenya as assistants on the day.

The winner of the two-legged tie advances to the group stage of the competition.

Aduana Stars dropped from the Caf Champions League after Algeria’s ES Setif beat them to the ticket to the ‘Money Zone’ of the elite African club competition.
