Caf CL: Anane, Yeboah make Aduana squad for Sétif trip

Noah Martey and Tijani Ahmed will not travel with Aduana Stars to Algeria for their Caf Champions League second leg against ES Sétif.

Both players were in the side’s 1-0 first leg victory at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa with the former starting the game. However, midfielder Martey has aggravated an injury he suffered in the match and will not be part of the travelling squad for Sunday’s game at the Stade du 08 Mai 1945.

Martey’s place has been occupied by left-back Justice Anane while Coach Yusif Abubakar has opted to drop goalkeeper Tijani Ahmed for second choice Gordon Yeboah.

Aduana Stars’ travelling contingent set out from their base in Dormaa Tuesday morning for Accra ahead of their trip to Algeria via Air Maroc.

Footy-Ghana understands the Ghanaian champions are still awaiting visas from the Algerian Embassy with any delay potentially determining their travel time. It is understood that the club intends to train at Prampram while in wait.

The aggregate winner of this tie on Sunday advances to the group stage of the 2018 Caf Champions League while the loser drops to the Confederation Cup.
