Caf names Nathalie Rabe as first female Communications Director

Malagasy Nathalie Rabe has been appointed new Director of Communications for the Confederation of African Football (Caf).

She replaces Junior Biyam of Cameroon and becomes the first female to assume the position.

Caf President Ahmad made the announcement of Rabe’s appointment at the ongoing Women’s Football Symposium in Morocco Tuesday night.

Nathalie Rabe worked on the Executive Committee with Ahmad when he was leader of the Madagacar Football Federation (FMF) before he resigned in April 2017 to commit to his Caf post.

She is a known politician back home where aside being the spokesperson of the Federation, also served as Minister of State (Communication) in her country.

Rabe has been part of the Caf Media team over the years.
