South Africa secure U-17 Women’s World Cup return
South Africa, on Saturday, became the first African country to book their place at the Fifa Under-17 Women’s World Cup slated for Uruguay later this year.
The Bantwana traveled to beat Morocco 1-0 in the second leg of the final round of the African play-offs after an emphatic 5-1 first leg victory at home a fortnight ago.
Sibulele Holweni scored from long range in the second half at the Stade Boubker Ammar to which handed the Bantwana a 6-1 aggregate score line.
South Africa are thus making a return to the World Cup after an eight-year hiatus.
