Egypt Premier League giants Ismaily SC are eager to unleash new signing Thomas Abbey in a top-of-the-table clash against leaders Al Ahly next week.
Abbey, 24, landed in Cairo Wednesday night to seal his bossman move after leaving Hearts of Oak.
A desperate Ismaily, who have been in search for more firepower upfront in the current winter transfer window, intensified his negotiations with the attacker in the past few days and got him.
Ismaily hurriedly announced his capture and ensured he joined his new teammates who have intensified preparations towards their Cairo-Ismailia derby game away to Ahly.
Abbey participated in Ismaili’s training Thursday and has been put under a special program to quickly make the Ghana international ready for competitive action.
Thomas Abbey is expected to travel with Ismaily for the Al Ahly clash on Tuesday, January 30.
