Basotho refs named for Cara-Kotoko midweek Confed Cup action

Lebalang Martin Mokete will lead a quartet of referees from Lesotho to handle Cara Brazzaville’s home game against Asante Kotoko in the Caf Confederation Cup.

A communique from the Confederation of African Football (Caf) has directed that the second leg of this preliminary round fixture is played 10 days after the first leg coming up at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium Sunday, February 11 2018.

This means the game in Brazzaville will be honoured on a midweek – likely, Wednesday February 21 or the day preceding it.

Centre referee Moketo will have Souru Phatsoane and Amadou Ngom running the lines for him as assistants.

The fourth official is Osiase William Koto while Equato-Guinean Antonio Nsue Ondo Oye has been named Match Commissioner.

The winner of the Kotoko-Cara tie over two legs advances to meet one of Tunisia’s US Ben Guerdane or Al-Hilal Juba from South Sudan in the first round later in March.
