Nana Poku: Zamalek in talks to sign Ghana striker

Egyptian giants Zamalek, on Sunday, opened negotiations to sign Ghana striker from Misr El-Makasa, reports Kingfut.

A deal will seal the former Berekum Chelsea goal poacher reunite with manager Ehab Galal who recently joined the White Castle.

Poku could became the Ehab Galal’s first January signing in a deal said to be worth $500,000, according to KingFut sources.

Zamalek is set to announce the deal after the Cairo derby against Al Ahly on Monday. The match will be Galal’s debut at the helm of the club.

It is believed that the player wanted to take part in the derby but was informed that the club will officially announce his signature after the match.

Nana Poku first arrived in Egypt in 2014 playing for Ittihad El-Shorta. He was his team’s top scorer with 11 goals. Afterwards, he moved to Misr El-Maqassa in 2015 on a three-year contract. The 25-year-old enjoyed a 5-month loan spell with the UAE’s Al Shabab last year.
