Mo Salah donates €30,000 to Egypt veterans

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has reportedly donated a considerable sum of money to the Association of Veteran Egyptian Players.

Radio host and former Zamalek star Khaled El-Ghandour revealed that the Egypt international winger donated 30,000 Euros to the association.

The 25-year-old aims to help 120 families who receive a monthly wage of EGP 400, according to El-Ghandour.

This comes less than a month after Salah won the PFA Player of the Month, where he beat off competition from Man City‘s Kevin de Bruyne, Chelsea‘s Eden Hazard, Man United‘s Ashley Young, Watford‘s Richarlison and Stoke City‘s Xherdan Shaqiri.

He was also named BBC’s African Player of the Year earlier in December after competition with teammate Sadio Mane as well as Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Victor Moses and Naby Keita.

Salah is currently Liverpool’s top scorer in all competitions, as he netted 21 goals since joining the Reds in the summer.
