U-20 WWCQ: Kenya’s Starlets prepare to host Ghana
Kenya have intensified preparations to host Ghana in the second leg of the 2018 Fifa U-20 World Cup penultimate qualifying round this weekend.
The Junior Starlets hit camp straight after returning from their first leg defeat to the Black Princesses in Cape Coast.
Kenya’s technical bench has since switched attention to overturning a five-goal deficit by making additions to the squad. Sarah Muthoni and Sharon Zainab from Kariobangi North Girls and Nginda Girls respectively are the new additions to the team.
The Kenya U-20 women’s team hosts Ghana at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos on Sunday, November 19. Kickoff is at 1200 GMT.
Meanwhile, Ghana’s Black Princesses are scheduled to leave Accra for Nairobi on Wednesday.
The aggregate winner of this tie advances to face Cameroon in the final round of qualifiers to France 2018.
