Dabila Ouattara: Al Hilal’s Ivorian defender set for Barcelona trials

Sudanese giants, Al Hilal’s defender Soualio Dabila Ouattara has arrived in Spain for a tryout with FC Barcelona.

Ouattara, 21, is an Ivorian centre-back who only joined Hilal from Africa Sports in November last year.

According to a statement by Al Hilal Club’s Secretary General, Emad Al Tayeb, the Sudanese club has been officially communicating with the management of Barcelona who requested the addition of Ouattara to their ranks over the past few weeks.

“Barcelona has already sent a visa and a first class ticket onboard Turkish Airlines to conduct tests,” Al Tayeb said on the club’s official webpage on Sunday.

Dabila Ouattara arrived in Spain on Monday following Hilal’s acceptance of the request by the Catalan giants.

He will undergo observation at the Barca ‘B’ side from Tuesday.

If Ouattara impresses with his performance, he will be signed for Gerard López’s side before the summer transfer window shuts.

Dabila Ouattara was part of the Ivory Coast squad under Michel Dussuyer which defeated Ghana on away goal rule to qualify for the 2016 CHAN in Rwanda. He went on to feature for the Elephants at the tournament.
