Black Starlets handed tricky draw in U-17 AFCON

Ghana’s U-17 male national team have been drawn in group A of the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Zambia.

The Black Starlets were handed a mild draw with African powerhouse Cameroon set to provide the stiffest opposition in the group that also houses host Madagascar and Guinea.

The draw, held in Cairo on Monday, will also see Mali battle Angola, Congo and Niger in group B.

Ghana will be making a return to the juvenile competition after missing the previous two editions; the last one through disqualification.

The tournament will take place in Madagascar between 2–16 April 2017.

The semi-finalists of the tournament will qualify for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.
