PRE-SEASON TOUR: Nigeria’s Ifeanyi Ubah to play Hearts and Kotoko

Nigeria Professional Football League side FC IfeanyiUbah are set to engage two Ghanaian sides in friendlies as they embark on a one-week pre-season tour of the country. 

The side which until recently was known Gabros United FC of Anambra is expected to touch down Accra latest Saturday morning and will play their first game 24 hours later.

Footy-Ghana can confirm that IfeanyiUbah have secured a deal to face Ghana’s most glamorous clubs Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko in Accra and Kumasi respectively.

The Phobians will first host their Nigerian counterparts at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, January 31 while the porcupine warriors welcome the Anambra-based club on February 3 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

IfeanyiUbah recently appointed former Hearts of Oak Bulgarian gaffer Mitko Dobrev as head coach after failing to reach an agreement with Ghanaian coach Yusif Abubakar.

The club which underwent a complete takeover by businessman and CEO of Capital Oil Limited, Dr. Ifeanyi Ubah in June 2015 recently augmented their squad with six Brazilian players.

IfeanyiUbah will after a week stay, leave Accra to continue their pre-season preparations in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
