Moroccan international, Souffian El Karouani has joined Dutch side FC Utrecht on a free transfer.
The 22-year-old defender arriving from NEC Nijmegen is reported to have signed a three-year contract with his new club.
FC Utrecht Technical Director Jordy Zuidam was full of praise for the new signing at his unveiling.
“Souffian is a fierce player with tremendous drive, a real winner,” FC Utrecht Technical Director Jordy Zuidam said.
“Although he is still young, he has already gained a lot of experience and played games at the highest level. With us, he can continue his development.”
Zuidam continued: “We are happy that we can add Souffian to our team for the next season.”
El Karouani joined NEC Nijmegen on July 19, 2019, and has played 110 official matches for the club to date, with his contract set to expire on June 30.
