DR Congo giants TP Mazembe have finally secured the services of former Karela United midfielder Jean Vital Ourega.
The Ravens have had to wait for full season to land the 23-year-old.
Footy-Ghana.com can reveal that Ourega was all set to join Mazembe from Karela in the January transfer window but the Lumbumbashi-based club were forced to recoil due to some financial constraints.
Ourega ended up signing for Tanzanian champions Simba SC and was immediately farmed out to Buildcon FC in the Zambian topflight.
With bankroller Moïse Katumbi back in the picture, TP Mazembe who still needed a defensive midfielder moved to seal a deal with Simba for their one-time transfer target.
Jean Vital Ourega, the lanky Ivorian, signed a three-year contract with TP Mazembe and is expected to be a prominent figure in their 2019/20 Caf Champions League campaign.
