Asante Kotoko have accepted an invite to face Tanzanian champions Simba SC in an international friendly scheduled for Wednesday, August 8.
Footy-Ghana.com can confirm that a deal was completed last night for the two clubs to face off in the 2018 edition of the #SimbaDay commemoration.
Kotoko are expected to arrive in Tanzanian capital Dar es Salaam on Tuesday, August 7 and play the game at the 60,000 capacity National Stadium the next day.
Footy-Ghana.com can further reveal that the agent behind the deal is working on a possible friendly for the Porcupine Warriors against a South African club – one which will see the Ghanaian giants travel to the rainbow nation straight from Tanzania for the game on preferably August 12.
Simba SC currently have three Ghanaians – Nicholas Gyan, James Kotei and Kwasi Asante – in their ranks.
Kenya’s AFC Leopards were thought to be on the cards to play Simba but the club have gone ahead to choose Kotoko after knowledge of their availability.
