Uganda line up pre-Afcon 2017 friendly with Ivory Coast
Ghana’s group opponents in the 2017 African Cup of Nations, Uganda have lined up series of international friendlies as they get ready for the tournament in Gabon.
The cranes in September qualified for the continental showpiece as one of the two best group runners-up after defeating Comoros 1-0; the first time since 1978.
In their bid to make a good name for themselves at the tournament, the team have lined up series of friendly games to get them set for the AFCON.
Coach of the side Micho Sredojevic in a tweet confirmed they will be playing against reigning African champions Ivory Coast on the 11th of January in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

He also announced other friendlies with North African giants Libya and Tunisia on the 1st of and 4th of January respectively at the Stade Chedly Zouiten in the Mutuelleville district of Tunis, Tunisia.

The final tournament will be held from 14 January to 5 February 2017 in the Gabonese cities of Libreville, Franceville, Oyem-Bitam and Port-Gentil.
Uganda are in the same group with Ghana, Egypt and Mali.
