CAF CL: Bejaia name 20 players for AshGold trip

Algerian side, MO Bejaia have named a 20-man squad for this weekend’s 2016 Caf Champions League clash with AshantiGold in Obuasi.

The coach Alain Geiger side is expected to land Accra in the early hours of Friday via an Air Maroc flight with 19 other members from the technical and management teams.

AshantiGold will be hosting the first leg of their preliminary round play-offs at the Len Clay Stadium on Sunday, February 14.

“We have been in constant with the Algerians and per their schedule, they expect to arrive at the Kotoka Airport at 5am on Friday,” AshGold CEO Kudjo Fianoo said.

“We have arranged an Africa World Airlines flight to fare them to Kumasi. They requested for a minimum 4-star hotel and since we don’t have such in Obuasi, they will base at the Golden Tulip Hotel till match day. Ashgold has liaised with the Regional FA to secure a nice training pitch for them to train if they wish to after arriving on Friday,” he added.

Kick-off time for Sunday’s game is set at 15:00 GMT.
