Ghana Premier League duo Amed Toure and Soulama Abdoulaye have been named in Burkina Faso’s squad for the doubled-legged 2018 World Cup qualifier with Benin.
Stallions coach Gernot Rohr has kept faith in Toure, the Asante Kotoko striker who managed 14 goals in 19 games by handing him a second straight invitation after calling him up for the October friendlies.
He is joined by former teammate and the ever-present experienced goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye who now plays for rivals Hearts of Oak in the list of 26 players announced by the Burkinabe national team manager.
Unattached defender Narcisse Bambara and Banou Diawara who features for Algerian giants JS Kabilye are two players who make a return to the stallions fold as they begin their bid for a ticket to the Russia 2018 World Cup.
Burkina Faso are scheduled to travel away to face Benin in Cotonou first on November 11 before hosting the return leg in Ouagadougou six days later.
